This is a brilliant advancement. It takes a full four calories to raise, point and click the remote, and now we can save those precious calories for later. Say, for sneezing. Or scratching behind the ear. Or taking a bite of cheesecake.
No wonder childhood obesity is becoming an epidemic. We’re constantly striving to improve our lives through technology, when ironically, the long-term physical effects could be cumulatively devastating. Sure, life may be getting easier, but healthier? Not so much.
My kids wanted an X-Box. They got a trampoline (with a safety net) instead and it’s the best investment we ever made.
