My gift to you
I’ve found a way to boost my productivity, and I encourage you to try it.
I have several email accounts and waste a huge amount of time checking them throughout the day. So I found a way to skin the cat, and it goes like this:
1) Get a Gmail account. It’s the best free email service out there, and comes with a HUGE memory alotment. Far superior to AOL, Hotmail and even Yahoo. AND, it’s cellphone compatible, which is key to this little trick.
2) Go to each email account, open the admin panel and have a CC of each message sent to your Gmail account. The messages will still go to your regular accounts; this simply sends a copy to Gmail.
3) Set your cellphone to read Gmail. There’s a tutorial on the Gmail site to walk you through it. It’s very simple. Once you get it configured, enter your username and password and click the ‘remember me’ button.
4) Now, assign a ‘short-cut’ key on your cellphone to the Gmail browser.
If I get an email at any of my domain accounts (such as this one, or StompCancer.org) a copy pops up on my Gmail account. Throughtout the day, I hit the short-cut button on my celly, and see all of the incoming mail, and can attend to the important ones right away.
