$687.00 per month

Yep, that’s what I pay for health and dental insurance, out-of-pocket, every month.  I’m self-employed and that’s part of the game.

With that, I get superior service and peace of mind.  I can also fire the insurance company if they start to suck, and hire a new one.

I also pay the mortgage, car note, car insurance and food bill.  I don’t expect you to pay for any of those, so why should I expect you to pay for my health insurance?

Health Care Heroes – We don’t need no stinkin’ guvment

Once again the Federal Government has displayed extraordinary fiscal ineptitude with the ‘Clunkers’ program.  Ironically, General Motors is having to cover the bills since Uncle Sammy can’t get his act together.  Yes, you read that correctly.  General Freakin’ Motors.

And you still want the feds calling the shots when your kids need surgery?

I’m an unapologetic capitalist and fervent believer in the American Dream.  Are there huge problems with the health care system?  You bet.  Can they be fixed by the same federal government that handled Hurricane Katrina, Cash for Clunkers, and hundreds of other disasterous programs?  HELL TO THE NO.

There are solutions out there, and I have my ideas.  But it’s not about me today.

The clinic treats the uninsured, and finances the operation with donations from churches, the Rotary Club, and private individuals.  No government meddling, no bureaucratic idiocy.

Is this the only solution?  Of course not.  But it shows true American grit and determination, and it WORKS.

The best way to ruin that particular clinic is by putting Washington policy weenies in the loop, especially those that can’t even handle a used car program.
